Located near Anchorage, Kincaid Park is 1,400 acres of unsoiled land with views of Mt. Susitna from Cook Inlet, Fire Island, and both Mt. Denali and Mt. Foraker. The park is known for being wild and free and besides tourist of the human variety, many animals call this park home.
Located near Anchorage, Kincaid Park is known for having some of the most incredible trail systems in the US and Anchorage’s largest Moose population.
The outdoor adventures are limitless with this notably four-season park. During the summer you can hike, bike, and kayak, and in the winter you can ski, snowshoe and even take advantage of ski classes for beginners.
Our favorite activity might be what is pictured above: quietly enjoying the gorgeous sunset on the rocks overlooking the water. This photo was taken in the winter (you can see the ice and snow on some of the rocks, glistening in the bright sun) and even though you’d have to be bundled up pretty well with average temperatures near 11 degrees F and average snowfall about 75 inches, it seems worth it. Who wouldn’t brave the cold to get an incredible view like this?
